Agenda

Four parts, two hours

01 Intro 10 min
02 Fundamentals — Claude essentials 25 min
03 Relevant Adelis use case examples 60 min
04 Wrap-up & Q&A 25 min

Stop us when something lands, or when something doesn't. Save the bigger questions for the Q&A.

Why Claude? Why now?

The wave

Coding was solved first.
Knowledge work is next.

Why here, why now

Private equity is the
shape of work Claude is built for.

01 · Data

Unstructured, everywhere

CIMs, IC memos, management-call transcripts, news, portfolio-company updates. The reading list never ends.

02 · Work

Repeatable analytical craft

Memo drafting, protocol writing, data structuring, screening. Steady shape, high volume — exactly what AI handles well.

03 · Team

Small team, high leverage

Every hour returned to an analyst compounds. Fewer people, bigger mandates — more upside per improvement.

Claude is not a general-purpose chatbot dressed up for enterprise. It was built for exactly this kind of work.

Pace of change

You are at
the forefront.

Last week
16 Apr

Opus 4.7

New top-tier model. Stronger on dense documents and multi-step analysis.

14 Apr

Redesigned desktop app

Run several Claude tasks at the same time, in one window.

14 Apr

Routines

Have Claude run a task on a schedule — overnight, every Monday, or when kicked off from another tool.

The shift

You were the executor.
Now you're the director.

Specific tactics will keep shifting. What compounds is the habit behind them — describing clearly, evaluating sharply, adapting quickly to whatever ships next.

Wrap-up & next steps

What you saw, what to remember, where to go from here.

Confidentiality & data

How your data is handled.

Enterprise account

Adelis data stays at Adelis

Not shared with Anthropic. Not used to train models. Not shared with other customers.

Use the right login

Sign in with Adelis for work

These protections only apply to your enterprise account. Keep personal experiments on a personal login.

For sensitive work

Incognito mode

Flip it on and the session is not saved to Memory or chat history.

Permissions

M365 permissions respected

Claude can only see what you can already see. No back-door access.

Managing costs

Being smart with costs. Three habits.

Use Claude effectively for the work you need — spend is tracked centrally, and this isn't about working around the tool. A few small habits keep costs sensible without getting in your way.

Habit 01

Re-prompt, don't correct

If the first answer is off, edit the original prompt instead of adding corrections on top. A cleaner re-prompt is faster and cheaper.

Habit 02

New chat for a new topic

Switching tasks? Open a new chat. Long threads get expensive fast and Claude gets less sharp as context piles up.

Habit 03

Be mindful with large PDFs

A 50-page PDF can run 75–150k tokens just to open. Paste the text when layout doesn't matter; keep the PDF when it does.

Which model

Sonnet by default.
The others only when you need them.

Default
Sonnet 4.6

Memos, document review, analysis, Q&A. Right for almost everything you do. Fast, high quality, affordable.

When it's hard
Opus 4.7

Stress-testing a thesis. Critiquing a model. Complex multi-step reasoning. Slower and more expensive — don't default to it.

When it's light
Haiku 4.5

Reformatting, quick summaries, tidy-up tasks. Faster and cheaper — optional, nice to have for the routine stuff.

Take with you

Just use it.
That's how the muscle builds.

Experiment. Try things. Chase the side questions. When you're stuck or unsure — ask Claude. It's the best help desk you've got.

Post-workshop support

You are not alone after today

First resort

Ask Claude

Unsure how to prompt, which feature to use, or whether an idea fits? Ask Claude first — it's fast and often enough.
